This policy describes Nox Nocturne version 1.0, provided by Archon Soulings LLC. The native app operates locally and does not send investigation readings, notes or observation choices to the developer.

Capture is your choice

Magnetic-field and motion capture begins after you tap Start investigation and uses sensors available on your device. The app does not implement microphone recording, GPS collection or Bluetooth scanning. Optional automatic room scanning separately estimates local room geometry and phone positions as described below. Opening the app alone does not start capture. Capture stops when you leave the instrument, open the log or privacy view, move the app to the background, or protected data becomes unavailable.

What stays on the device

The app stores readings, timing, session identifiers and notes you choose to save in its local app storage. Investigation files use iOS complete file protection and are excluded from device backups. Display preferences, such as stillness mode, are stored in the app's local preferences. There is no developer account, cloud synchronization, advertising SDK, analytics SDK or cross-app tracking in the native app.

Retention and deletion

Saved logs remain until you delete them or remove the app. You can delete an individual log from Local investigation log after confirmation. Deletion cannot be undone. Export anything you want to keep before deleting the app; this version cannot import an exported log to restore it. Deleting a local log does not delete copies you already shared.

Exports you control

Export occurs only after your action and your choice of destination in the iOS share sheet. Exports contain magnetic and motion readings, timing, session identifiers and your notes; boot-relative timestamps are removed. The receiving app or service can retain the copy under its own controls and policies. Nocturne cannot delete that external copy for you.

Guide, artwork and observations

The offline guide uses fixed reviewed explanations. Optional Nocturne AI uses Apple’s on-device Foundation Models only when this build includes model support, on compatible devices and operating systems with Apple Intelligence enabled and a ready model supporting your language. Before each request, the app displays a frozen input and requires your approval. Live-summary guidance excludes personal notes and questions. A separate investigation review can include a displayed, limited selection of saved notes and questions only if you separately choose to include them. No cloud model fallback, persistent AI transcript or cross-workspace memory is used. When the model is unavailable, the offline guide remains available. Bundled decorative artwork is offline and receives no readings or notes. Manual observation choices are selected by you and remain temporary until you explicitly save them. Opt-in stable response-level preview does not automatically change or save your draft: Use and Save are separate actions. Response setup preferences remain in session memory. Confirmed experimental pulse and user-defined range interpretations are part of the local investigation record, with measurement and convention context; they are not proof of communication.

Optional room scanning and maps

Location, room and object names are entered by you; GPS is not collected. Manual map positions are placed by you. On supported devices, choosing Start room scan requests camera permission for RoomPlan to estimate geometry and local phone positions using camera/LiDAR. No raw camera video is saved or uploaded. Explicitly saved maps and scans use protected local storage excluded from backups. Delete maps and scans separately from sensor logs. Maps and scans cannot currently be exported or restored; scans cannot be stitched into a house or aligned across sessions. Unsaved scans are cleared on backgrounding. Losing the device or uninstalling can lose these records. Do not use them as your only copy of important information.

Equipment links open external Amazon pages only after you tap. No notes, readings or identifiers are inserted into those fixed links, and they contain no affiliate tag. External sites may collect browser information or use cookies under their own policies. Those websites are separate from the app's local investigation storage.

Support and this website

If you email support, your email address and message are sent through email services and used to handle your request. Include private logs only if you choose to share them. This support website is hosted by Wix; its hosting and browser data practices are separate from the native app. We have added no analytics scripts, advertising, forms or account system to these support pages.

Questions or privacy requests

Contact Drew@ArchonSoulings.com. The developer cannot remotely access or delete logs that stay only on your device. Use the in-app deletion control to remove them.

Changes

This policy describes the stated app version. Changes to app data practices will be reflected in an updated policy and effective date.
